I know Marcus Günther since the mid-90s.

I highly appreciate the oeuvre of Günther, so that I follow his artistic development with great attention.

The artist, living in Dusseldorf, has created works that regionally, nationally and beyond the borders of Germany are appreciated in exhibitions.

The works of Marcus Günther surprise by their diversity are stylistically not fixed, sometimes provocative, but always innovative. The common consensus here is Günther's confrontation with the human in his environment.

Even in his current project Sinnkoerper this relationship is focussed. Detached from conventional restrictions, the artist gives his project a life of its own. He creates an artistic organism, which can and should develop independently.

The result of this artificial evolution can be met with excitement. It has the potential to become a global piece of art, which in detail reflects the cultural diversity of artistic creation. And last but not least it leaves in its formative stages humanitarian signs This, always seeking the new, is the unusual work and thinking of the artist.

In search of an ideal form for the society he builds a bridge between individuality and equality, between the question and response to the existence and emphasises thereby his extraordinary skills as an artist.

Besides the possibility, to bring Günther's work in direct relationship to the work of the artist Joseph Beuys, the path to the spirit of romance for sure is the main source when the point is to disclose his artistic roots.

The leading idea is to clarify that the Sinnkoerper project is not only one art work but many works, based on the principle of global participation, both in the field of painting, sculpture as well as in the field of architecture, garden area, etc. - thus unlimited -.
